Eraeliya Villas, Weligama

Eraeliya, meaning ‘sunlight’ in Sinhalese, is a tranquil retreat located minutes from Weligama Bay on Sri Lanka’s south coast. This sanctuary comprises four individual villas set within an acre of terraced tropical gardens, offering scenic views of the Indian Ocean.

These villas, ranging from one to four bedrooms, feature broad balconies, terraces, and luxurious interiors adorned with Dutch period Sri Lankan furniture and art. Each villa is situated at different levels within the terraced gardens, providing sea views and surrounded by lush tropical foliage.

Villa Muhudu Bella: Inspired by a sea shell, this chalet includes a double bedroom, attached bathroom, and a terrace furnished with a two-seater dining table and sun lounges, perfect for couples.
Villa Nelum: Features a spacious bedroom and living area opening to the garden, an ensuite bathroom with twin vanities, and a freestanding marble bathtub, accommodating up to three guests.
Villa Walauwa: A self-contained villa with two ensuite bedrooms, a living room, and a small kitchen. The bedrooms open to balconies with sea views, ideal for families, accommodating up to five guests.
Villa Bawana: A spacious two-storey villa with four luxurious suites named Diviya, Alaya, Samaya, and Ramaya. Each suite has an ensuite bathroom with twin vanities and marble bathtubs. The ground floor features a spacious lounge, a library, and a terrace that opens to an infinity swimming pool with stunning ocean views.

The villas can be booked by the room or as a whole villa.

Eraeliya offers personalized service, with meals served privately in each villa. You can choose from traditional Sri Lankan and western cuisine, prepared with fresh seafood from local fishermen and vegetables from local villages.

The gardens lead to a secluded beach, perfect for surfing and safe swimming from December to April.
